Lifestyle changes

You can't live a simple life here in US, you need to be sophisticated. The manner in which you talk, your pastimes, cars you drive ,food you eat, toiletries you use, dresses you wear, gadgets you have, the locality you stay - all -in- all you are a sophisticated human here. You need to be one ( or act one!) to live here, else you are driven to extinction.

It’s not the passion for living , but the necessity for increases in sophistication that is very evident in people around me.

My first impression

I appreciate the entrepreneurial spirit of the people in the US. They are very industrious and take risk. All the processes and systems of the government, school, and even at home encourage this entrepreneurial spirit.

Life skills are emphasized in early ages and concept of independent living is evident in all walks of life.

'The Road Not Taken '

Revisting a poem that I shall read again...

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference
